If music be the food of love...

...Play on Farah and Ferez.

I had my first taste of Tunisian culture at the residence of Samir & Emna yesterday. We had a business meeting with Samir and ended up at his residence along with Shirish and a whole bunch of folks from Midas who are business acquaintances (read friends) of Samir. Now i will perhaps write in about the whole experience at Samir's place, but i cannot overlook the sheer delight at having met Shirish, Gautam, Shyam & Arun. They are stuff Indians are made of, amiable, delightful and more importantly comfortable to be with even in business scenarios.

Coming back to the Samir and Emna, they literally gave us a taste of Tunisia with their eager and warm welcome. Not to mention liquor made from Anise ( i hope i got this right). Emna had gone to great lengths to make us feel at home and laid out a table full of delicacies...quiche, a variety of bread, olive oil spreads, chicken, fruits & hazelnuy cake and a whole lot of stuff that i don't even know what they are called. But the real flavour of the evening were the children, Farah all of 12 and very chirpy and the shy Ferez, 9 years old. Farah played the ud for us and Ferez played the qanun.
Two absolutely talented kids and the family really made me miss home.

Cruising at 140 kmph on a Renault Clio towards Hammamet....with all due apologies to wordsworth "The music in my heart i bore, long after it was heard no more".

Hi....
What exactly do you mean by 'experimenting with music'? I am intrigued.
